THE
BRUCE BOWEN FOUNDATION
The Bruce Bowen Foundation is committed
to creating opportunities for a brighter
tomorrow by exposing a diverse population
of underserved and often overlooked
young people to a new view of what life
has to offer. The Bruce Bowen Foundation
focuses not only on athletes, but all
youth who are avid concerning a more
healthy and prosperous future.
As founder and president,
Bruce
Bowen is aware of the great need for
programs that nurture self-respect and
confidence, responsibility, and camaraderie.
As a professional athlete who has had
his share of challenges, Bruce is passionate
about cultivating the will to persevere
in the lives of the youth his foundation
will serve.
The Bruce Bowen Foundation
currently has three programs on which
it focuses. The Bruce Bowen Scholarship
Fund, Bruce Bowen Basketball Camp, and
Bruce Bowen Equipment Grant, have been
implemented to provide underserved youth
with the quality of life everyone deserves.
The Bruce Bowen Foundation
takes interest in youth who have dealt
with insurmountable struggle, yet prove
to be devoted to bettering themselves
through education. To this end, the Bruce
Bowen Scholarship Fund awards scholarships
to youth who need assistance in their
quest for a higher education.
The annual Bruce Bowen
Basketball Camp is offered to youth at
no cost to their family. This camp is
not only a tool to equip youth with the
fundamentals of basketball, but also to
encourage teamwork and discipline.
The Bruce Bowen Equipment
Grant is awarded to athletic programs
whose resources are inadequate or lacking.
By providing new and upgraded athletic
equipment to young athletes, they become
energized with a can-do attitude and enjoy
the game and its elements all the more.
With the help of sponsors and committed
partners, the Bruce Bowen Foundation will
continue to enhance the lives of young
people, which will in turn enhance their
communities.
